Susan G. Komen Central Indiana Race for the Cure is celebrating 20 wonderful years of their support in fighting breast cancer, celebrating its survivors, and bringing awareness  next Saturday, April 16th in Downtown Indianapolis.  The 5k run or walk, and 1 mile family walk will take place on IUPUI’s campus, and Military Park.  2010’s race proved successful with over 41,000 in attendance, raising millions of dollars donated to the research, education, treatment, and support of breast cancer.  With even more support and donations this year, the Race for the Cure is expected to be just as successful if not more profitable this year in 2011.  Not signed up for the race yet?  You are in luck-- this Saturday, April 9th marks the final day for participants to register early online and have their race packets shipped directly to their homes.  If you happen to miss the sign up deadline you can always register the morning of the race with an additional $10 late fee.  The event fee is $28 for any individual or participant of a team, and $25 for any breast cancer survivor!  Can’t make it to the event this year?  Your donations would be greatly appreciated!  With the warm weather finally rolling in, what better way to spend a Saturday morning with friends and family helping out a wonderful cause!  Hope you see you all there!
