2. Paoli Peaks is located in Paoli, IN.  Paoli Peaks has a 45,000 square foot day lodge equipped with everything that you may need while visiting their slopes! 3. Pokagon State Park is a clear first choice for winter fun in Indiana State Parks. Located near Angola in the northeastern part of the state, it borders on Lake James and Snow Lake, which offer abundant recreational opportunities. Park features a quarter-mile toboggan track, which operates weekends from Thanksgiving through February. Winter activities also include camping, ice fishing, and cross-country skiing. 4. Fort Harrison State Park houses one of the biggest sledding hills in central Indiana. Located in Indianapolis, Fort Harrison is a 17,000-square-foot state park that is open year round.
