Fishers Freedom Festival This Weekend!

I am SO excited about the Fishers Freedom Festival I can’t stand it - (I’m like a little kid in that way). Most people have their holidays that are their favorites - 4th of July is one of my ALL time favs- warm weather, BBQ’s, family, friends and FIREWORKS!!
The Evelo’s introduced our family to the Freedom Festival a couple of years ago - WAY back in the day - even before Andrew was on the scene! Being that the parade went right through Sunblest (a neighborhood we were looking into purchasing in at the time) and everything was in walking distance from Stephanie’s old house. It was a pleasant surprise at how well organized it is and COMPLETELY family friendly. This is one of the events that usually kicks off the 4th of July week activities for our family. It is such a fun weekend!
This year is NO exception!
The whole team will probably be there at different times, but it is a lot of fun to see the mini-Evelo’s “working”! (check out the old picture - seriously how cute is this?) Eli, Asher and even Andrew will probably be on the scene handing out giveaways (I’m a BAD past client - I LOVED the grocery pads they used to have - pretty sure I have hoarded a few of them in my day - sorry Steph!).
There are a ton of local businesses and charities that will be participating too - great to support our local Fishers economy if we can.
SO.... If you are in the area, you can check out the schedule.
These are a few things our family is planning on doing:
- Kicking thing off Saturday is the 5k (we like to eat breakfast - usually donuts and drink our coffee while watching everyone run by - our version of exercise?)
- The frisbee dogs competition
- The Children's tent! Late morning, Derek finishes up his second Lemon Shake up... WIth sugar flowing through his veins, you’ll probably see him with a herd of children (some even his own) at the kids tent for face painting and games.
- This year I saw that the BMV is doing kids ID Bracelets in the tent. Great thing to have on had for an assortment of reasons....
- Tons of great food and games! We usually make it a long day (ok, we are there both days b/c our kids BEG us!)
- Parade! Kids get a ribbon and a goodie bag for participating!
- Fireworks that finish up the weekend - usually about 9:45ish.
Even if you don’t live in Fishers, Indiana (Derek & Steph can help with that :) - you are welcome to visit a our own slice of heaven and see why Fishers is one of the top rated places to live! Don’t forget to stop by and see Derek, Stephanie and the rest of The Evelo Team at the Vendor tent!
Enjoy the Fishers Freedom Festival this weekend!
